 Jim Lovell was born in
Cleveland, Ohio on March 25, 1929. Jim’s father was James Lovell. Even as a child he
was interested in rockets. While he was in high school with the help of his chemistry
professor, he and his friends built a rocket. It flew 80 feet in the air. It wobbled,
turned and ‘exploded in a splendid suicide’. This rocket was what inspired Jim
to be an astronaut. |
